Wedding Highlights: Katelyn + Brett

Katelyn and Brett were our first wedding couple of the new year, tying the knot on January 18th. This was actually our first ever Winter wedding, so we were excited for something different. In the days leading up to the wedding I was thinking how cool it would be to have some shots with snow on the ground. This being one of the snowiest Winters I can remember, I wasn’t all that surprised (yet very excited) to wake and see a fresh couple inches on the ground for their wedding day.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not a huge fan of the cold but the Winter atmosphere provided a good opportunity for some different types of shots than we’re used to. The snow provided a pretty white blanket over everything while the girls all had soft, fluffy fur coats which looked great on camera while keeping them warm at the same time.

The St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Shippensburg was absolutely beautiful inside, and the reception at The Lodges at Gettysburg was a site to behold as well. Props to everyone involved for making this such an easy wedding to film for us. From the family, friends, bridal party, priests, deacons, venue staff and especially the couple, we were blessed to have been a part of this wedding and as always, honored to have been asked to put something together that Katelyn and Brett will cherish for the rest of their lives.
